Legal standing over heating in my rented flat?

I have been a tenant in a privately rented flat for 6 years-always paid my rent on time and been a good tenant.
It has a gas central heating system that has kept breaking down-and the landlord kept fixing.
It has now totally gone,and the spare part needed to repair it,is now obsolete-so he would have to replace the bolier-which he says is too expensive.
He has brought me a few plug-in electrci heaters and said that is all he is prepared to do.
So now I have no proper central heating,and it will cost a lot more to not keep as warm !
They are just plug in radiators-expensive and inadequate-I won`t even be able to dry clothes on a clothes horse very fast now.
I work full time,and the landlord was very strict about that-but I may as well rent a cheaper flat now.
Does anyone know where I stand legally?
I did take the flat because it had full gas central heating,when I moved in,and if I moved out-I`m sure he would have to mend it to attract renters-and rent`s high.

Hi all! I’m moving to Barcelona in a few months for a year and i’m trying to look for a CHEAP flat/apartment with two bedrooms. In the UK i’d probably look in gumtree to find a flat. But i cant find anywhere similar for places in Spain.
Need some sort of online directory as the places i’ve seen so far are all from private companies or buyers aimed at tourists which charge more

I’ll be moving to Scotland next week and will search for a job there. Does anybody knows if I can rent a flat before getting the job? I’m just wondering it would be cheaper then a long stay at the hotel.

I would like to know if I can rent a flat without having a job, or if it is needful to have a job before renting the flat (I mean, do real states make a contract with someone that is unemployed)?
My son Ashley is 21, straight, no pets, and loves life. He is desperately seeking either shared accomm or a single flat within easy travelling distance of Mayfair. As its working in a restaurant kitchen the dosh aint great but he can afford up to £450 a month. Greatful for any help or advice. Thanks.

We have equity gained from a repayment mortgage, deposit plus the rise in prices since we bought our flat in SW London 3 years ago.
We want to move to a bigger property but I’m concerned that we will be buying at the very top of the market, and that interest rates are not too favourable right now.
Rents have been pretty stable for the last few years, and it seems a cheaper short-term option to rent until house prices drop. Is this advisable?

shud i rent a house or flat for me and my boyfriend. the cheapes house is 295 and the cheapest flat is 315. why???? are the bills higher for the house? whats the difference
