help i really need your advice?
Posted by: | Commentssorry if this is long….i hope you can help?
im having a real problem with female co-workers, ive been travelling around the country doing work on a short term contract with a company with 2 other females who have been best friends for years.
ive had attitude off them from the start because they didnt like having to pick me up from my house in the company car (even though the driver got paid extra to do this) she was making me drive my car to her house and leave it there, causing me personal petrol money, and she kept dropping me far away from my house
i tried to make her drop me/pick me up from my house, but they gave attitude so to keep peace i did but then i couldnt afford petrol so i told regional manager who told her off, but even after she kept dropping me off not at my house.
we were getting on ok during the work but towards the end it turned sour, we travelled to do a show with the companies equipment, now these girls have told my manager that i damaged equipment they are blatantly lying.
ive said they are lying and now we all have to go in for a meeting to discuss, the thing is im unwell with a bad viral infection but the manager is forcing me to go in, ive said im not well enough and cant but she said if i dont go in i will get billed for these items that the girls are accusing me of breaking.
i can honestly say i have not broken any piece of equipment, they are lying, what should i do?
i will have to travel by taxi (they’ve said they’ll cover my travel expenses) as im not well.
im worried that they will beleive the pair of liers as there is 2 of them and 1 of me! thing is they cant give examples of when i supposedly broke equipment because they would be coming up with excuses out of thin air, unlike me, where i can give details where one of the girls broke 2 pieces of equipment.
after she broke the equipment it was reported to the manager, the female are accusing me of breaking a light, and a pole but they have both been faulty from the beginning and my managers know this, i suspect its a loose fuse on the light and they know the pole was broken because one of the managers hit it ith a hammer as it wouldnt fit! they cant blame me
also she smashed the car and the pair of them made up a story and lied about how it happened, they said they parked it and came back and it was smashed whereas i told my manager that the driver smashed it, and i told how she smashed it, where and when, but the manager was like well the pair of them are saying something different she said we’d have to all come in to discuss it, surely the manager would believe me?
also the stupid idiot told another member of the company that she smashed it so i would be relying on her to back me up although im wont be speaking to her directly.
i can face them easily as im not afraid of them and ill tell them what i think of them but i would rather not obviously have a slanging match infron of the bosses, and when i feel so ill
i wont be working for the company again as its a short term contract and will never see those liers again after the meeting. thing is the girl is still phoning/texting me saying she’ll pick me up! is she stupid? im not going to speak to her after the pair of them are accusing me of breaking things .
can anyone advise me how to handle this?
Another stimulus bill on the way, do you agree?
Posted by: | CommentsApparently the White House is licking its wounds and admitting the stimulus 101 wasnt enough or flat out hasnt done anything to help the ailing economy. At the time…. the President was trying to avoid going over an unemployment rate of 8%..we are now pushing towards 10%. All we here out of the Whiter House now is Cap and Trade and Health Care Spending… both bills could cause serious damage to the Nations Economy… via drastic inflation.
When Stimulus 101 came out, I knew there was too much fluff ..like 70% of it…, short term feel good crap, and not enough hard core long term shovel ready infrastructure spending…only 20 to 25%. Infrastructure spending renews the nations roads, bridges, water plants, power grid, schools, build some new refineries, nuke power plants … The President should have gone 75% infrastructure. Infrastructure puts people to work and spurs private expansion “via” Govt Contracts. We have too many Idle workers out there wasting their talents …. they could be put to work by rebuilding America…
America’s Infrastructure scores failing grades across the board.. see ASCE
http://www.asce.org/reportcard/index.cfm?reaction=full&page=6
With so many out of work…this can be changed.
The only place we should be spending is on Infrastructure …it is a matter of National Security.
I did not sign a renting contract with my landlord?
Posted by: | Commentswhat company offers new users a short term line rental?
Posted by: | Commentsi am moving house 4 breifly 4 months and i need a phone line supplier as my previous one (ntl) does not supply the new house, so i need a company that offers a short term contract for new users
by the way i am from the uk so i need a uk supplier
I decided to help out a friend of a friend by allowing her to move in with me, for 2 months, while she completes a medical rotation. I charged her a flat rate for both months (inc all utilities and furnishings)… but there was no lease or contract due to the short nature of her stay.
Last week, my she let my dog into her room, and apparently my dog proceeded to throw up on the carpet. She decided not to tell me, but take care of the incident herself, with a bathroom cleaner titled “Clorox Clean-up with Bleach.” I feel bad that it was my own dog that instigated this mishap… but I honestly believe the permanent staining could have EASILY been avoided, as I would have never made such a mistake.
My question is, is she responsible for the $75 estimate I got to repair (patch) the bleached carpet? I thought about paying half, but I still feel cheated even paying that. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Could we get approved for a $150,000 home loan (FHA) with me having a term/temp job?
Posted by: | CommentsCould we get approved for a $150,000 home loan (FHA) with me having a term/temp job (2 to 4 years in the federal government, but only 2 guaranteed)?
We are FTHB’s currently under contract on a short sale for $150K (FHA) waiting for the third party approval. My husband has a permanent full time job making about $23.5K/yr, and I make $51.5K/yr. Both our credit over 620. Total debt about $630/mnth. We had red flags from a previous home loan we applied for that never went to underwriting that we are working on clearing up (few overdrafts on our previous bank statements, no history of savings, severely increasing house payment, pay day loan on bank statement, and income stability). Those red flags will be cleared up by the time we go to underwriting (no payday loans on the 2 statements given, no ODs, housing payment increase only $300 more than our rent compared to $700 previously, & a slight pattern of savings within 2 months time which will be a little more than the 3.5% required down payment (including $1000 gift funds). The only thing I can’t change is my federal government 2 to 4 years temp job, of which only 2 years is guarenteed, but it is extendable an additional 2 years. Two years will end 10/2011. Do you think we can be approved?
Could someone familiar with west law help me with search terms for this short scenario?
Posted by: | CommentsI’m a crim justice student so we get west law, I’m trying to narrow down case law and find more relevant cases without going threw 1,000.
I’m in NJ, I had a lease in place for 3 months with 1st month and security paid. Landlord breaches the lease on my move in day saying he never got approval from his mortgage company to make his primary residence a rental property (part of a loan modification). He says he didn’t tell me until move in day because he was optimistic he could get it resolved… he didn’t. He said he can’t let me move in because he could lose his house without the approval. He said he knows he’s liable for damages but him losing his house is higher on the ladder he was negligent to find out any of this until the very last minute.
I’m suing him for damages including temporary living, storage, and my lease differential for similar living conditions (I’m actually downgrading and it still costs more I had a good deal).
I plan on going to small claims court and I want to ensure I get the lease differential I know it’s iffy… It’s about 2,500. I need to be able to throw case law at the judge if she is a landlord based lawyer so she just doesn’t try and award temporary living as damage and storage. I want the lease differential.
My breached lease was for a 2br 2bath 1500+ sq ft luxury condo granite countertops the works all for 600 a month utilities included.
Landlord’s reason was he was moving out of state on business and just wanted someone to watch the place.
I can’t even find a 1 br for less then 850 plus utilities, that’s a huge differential I’ll be paying for the new 1yr lease due to the breached lease and I’m actually downgrading my living conditions.
The lease has no clause relieving him of his contractual responsibilities in the sense if he breaches without 30 days notice he’s responsible for damages.
I’m not going to sue for damages until all of my damages are established and I have a new 1 yr lease in place proving concrete damages due to the 1 yr breached lease giving me notice on move in day.
The landlord breached the lease on move in day and gave me back my security deposit 2 weeks later saying it must have got lost in the mail… he sent it certified 2 weeks later… as I understand he only had 5 days max to return it if he voids the contract.
What terms should I search to help me?
I really just want to ensure I get the lease differential that’s my most substantial damages.
I know some judges favor landlords, while I’m certain I’ll get the lesser damages… the judge may try and wrongfully dismiss my lease differential damage aspect in which case I would fire back with case law because that damage is close to 3k with new places I’m looking at.
Assured short term tenancy renewal?
Posted by: | CommentsI am coming up to 12 months in a rented flat through an agency, they want me to pay £150 admin charge to stay here, and sign up for another 12 months. I thought these things became rolling monthly arrangements after you’d been there for twelve months although I can’t see anything about it in the contract. Is there a standard or can they do what they want?
