How can i get a loan when im on job seekers?

By
rent flat temporary

I basically got kicked out of my parents and am on job seekers allowance.
I am trying to find a job and have temporary accomodation.
I have been looking at houses/flats to rent but have no way to pay the deposit.
I can go on housing benefit until i am working but still have to come up with the money for the deposit, does anyone know if there is anyway i can get a loan while on job seekers?
Thanks
The proplem is the fact i am only in temporary accomodation, i need to find somewere ASAP, i dont know what else to do, i will end up on the streets soon.
Oh and by the way i did have a job, but i have been kicked out so couldnt get there so i got sacked.
Just for your information, I am not just another ‘parasite’, Just someone trying to sort there life out!

Save up. A loan will get you into worse difficulty than you are in now. The only loan you will get, if you can, will be what is called ‘sub prime’. Which means you will pay a huge rate of interest. Get a job. There are plenty out there still. Unless you are one of the parasites that we have to keep.

Ask at your Job Centre about a loan from the social fund, they will then deduct it from your JSA in small amounts per week..

You should not be thinking about taking out a loan unless all else fails. Some areas have local bond or rent deposit schemes to pay deposits, this is a link to some information from the homelessness charity Shelter and how to find out if your area does this, and you might find some other helpful stuff on the website, they also tell you useful things about deposits in general which you should read, and I think they have a free helpline as well:
I’m not sure if the social fund pays deposits, they say they can help with rent in advance which isn’t quite the same thing, but you can ask, you have to pay the loan back but it’s interest free, you can read more and download a claim form here, you need to have been signing on for at least 26 weeks though:
Have a look at the website of your local council as well and see what their policy is on homelessness and if they have a deposit scheme to help people into private rented, the link above goes into this.
Even if you can get a reputable loan it really isn’t a good idea because you have to pay off the interest regardless of your circumstances. You definitely have to avoid the loan sharks, if a loan seems to be the only option go and talk to the CAB (Citizens’ Advice Bureau) about how to get a safe one, it would probably be through a high street bank or building society, if they won’t give you one please don’t be tempted by companies (represented by some of your other answers?) which offer loans to unemployed people or people with bad credit because they will charge you exorbitant rates of interest.

You won’t be approved for any loan, especially unsecured.

You have no income, security or permanent address.

Best best would be a loan shark, though this will be secured on your legs.

5

go to your local CAB who run the ‘rent deposit scheme’ – they will give you a low interest loan to cover the cost of the deposit. Before you take out private tenancy go to the local council and ask for a ‘pre rental determination’ and they will tell you how much rent you will get paid for any property you are interested in, with private lets there is usually a shortage between what you get paid and the actual rent; you are responsible for any short fall. If you are under 25 years old your rent allowance is severely restricted to a single room rate

You can also consider presenting as homeless to the local authority and they will have to house you (although this may be in a bedsit or the like)
